Dirk Nannes all set to play for DareDevils

Australian Dirk Nannes is all set to play for one of the IPL team Delhi Daredevils in the inaugural Twenty20 Champions League.

Out of nine players who are eligible to play for more than one team Dirk Nannes is the only one to be  nominated in the preliminary squads of Delhi Daredevils and Victorian Bushrangers.

T20 Champions League Governing Council Member Dean Kino said that Dirk Nannes informed Twenty20 Champions League that he will play for Delhi Daredevils rather than playing for Victorian Bushrangers.

Delhi is required to pay USD 200,000 compensation to Victoria according to Rules and Regulations. The other players who are eligible to play for more than one teams will compete for their home teams in the tournament while Dwayne Smith who was considered an 'away' player for both Deccan and Sussex, will play for the English team.

Besides Nannes and Smith, other cricketers who faced the loyalty dilemma were Nathan Bracken of NSW Blues and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Brendon McCullum of Otago Bolts and NSW Blues, David Warner of NSW Blues and Delhi Daredevils, Cameron White of Victorian Bushrangers and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Andrew McDonald of Victorian Bushrangers and Delhi Daredevils, Herschelle Gibbs of Cape Cobras and Deccan Chargers and Farveez Maharoof of Wayamba and Delhi Daredevils.
